These modification significantly improve the operational longevity of these versions. They are not hard to do and are inexpensive. Although not advanced as the latest units. This one is competitive and useful at depths of up to about 75 ft. It has been a great learning experience working here at HQ and hope to have my second one(2.6x) built soon.

I am currently residing in the Bay area with the hopes of connecting with other ROV enthusiasts and performing experiments/embarking on missions etc. I am staying on several boats in Sausalito currently. Will be posting some videos in the adventures section and on open explorer soon. Will leave you with my topside tether adapter that I repurposed from an empty beaglebone box. This was no feat of engineering, and has probably been done by someone else...but it makes me laugh!
